Pasture Raised Lamb Shares
Reservations for 2026 are now open. Our Katahdin and Katahdin/Dorper cross lambs are raised on pasture here at Lakeside Harvest with no vaccinations, no antibiotics, and no grain unless requested for finishing. Pricing: $12.50 per pound (hanging weight) + $150 processing fee per lamb. (The processor fee is paid directly to the butcher or added to your final invoice.) Finishing Options: Grass-Fed & Grass-Finished (standard) Grain-Finished (available with advance reservation).
Whole Lamb Share
150 Deposit
Each whole lamb includes a standard cut package, typically:
rib chops, loin chops, sirloin chops, shoulder steaks/roasts, ground or stew meat, leg of lamb or leg steaks, neck slices, arm roast, and rack of ribs.
Half Lamb Share
100 Deposit
Same cuts as the whole lamb but approximately half the total weight.
Pasture Raised Birds
Reservation deposits are applied to the final total, with the balance due at pickup. All birds are packaged for freezing unless Never Frozen is requested.
Heritage Breed Turkey (Limited)
$60 Deposit
Slow-growing purebred heritage turkeys.
Non-GMO feed. Pasture raised in Suffolk, VA.
Final price: $8/lb processed weight
Most birds finish 10–18 lbs.
Pickup is scheduled the week before Thanksgiving.
Broiler Chicken (Whole)
$10 Deposit
Raised in daily-moved mobile tractors for sun, fresh air, bugs, and forage. Non-GMO feed for proper balance.
Final price: $6/lb processed weight
Average size 4–7 lbs.
Cuts available only with advance reservation.
Muscovy Duck (Limited)
$20 Deposit
Pasture raised in mobile tractors with SFSF certified feed for proper balance.
Final price: $10/lb processed weight
Necks and organs available in small quantities for Chicken, Turkey, and Duck.
Lambs will be processed and packaged at a local facility under Virginia's state exemption. Birds are processed on-farm under Virginia's state exemption, packaged whole, unless cuts were ordered, and freezer ready (unless never frozen is ordered)
